Troy 2013 Angiosarcoma Awareness 5K Road Race & Walk

Last Saturday, I ran in the Angiosarcoma Awareness 5K Road Race and Walk in Troy. The race/walk was organized by Ryan Humphrey, a graduate of Troy Athens High School. Very appropriate that the race headquarters was at Athens High School.

The purpose of this race/walk is to raise awareness and money to fund Angiosarcoma research.

This was the first time that I've run in a race on the streets of Troy (in the neighborhoods near Athens High School). After the race I posed for a photo with another runner. Here I am pictured below with the lovely and much faster runner Kelly Henderson. Not only is she married to Troy City Councilman Dave Henderson but she is training to run a complete Marathon this coming Fall!
