Last year, I posted Pocket Neighborhoods to Strengthen Communities and Preserve Green Space on our blog. Claire Charlton, a local journalist, saw my blog post a few months ago when she was conducting research for an article on "pocket neighborhoods" in Michigan. Claire conducted an interview with me via telephone back in January.
Click here to view/print the MichiganPrime.com article she wrote that was partially based on my interview. Thanks to a tip from my friend Andrew Anuzis, I discovered her article that appeared as a special advertising supplement in the 2/10/13 Detroit Free Press.
My only minor quibble with the article is with the statement, "...Lambert still serves on the zoning board of appeals in Troy, so he is on the inside track of any new city developments." While the zoning board is sometimes involved in these decisions, most of the "heavy lifting" in this area is done by the City Council, the Planning Commission, and the City's Planning staff.
