On 1/1/13, Mary Ellyn and I made our first visit to the Michigan By The Bottle Tasting Room in nearby Shelby Township. The MBTB Tasting Room unites the founders of MichiganByTheBottle.com with six Michigan wineries to bring a taste of the state's wine trails to metro Detroit. Their focus is on high-quality wines produced by their six partner wineries – Chateau Aeronautique, Chateau de Leelanau, Domaine Berrien Cellars, Gill's Pier Vineyard & Winery, Peninsula Cellars and Sandhill Crane Vineyards.The proprietors are suburban Detroiters Shannon and Cortney Casey.
We really enjoyed our visit and encourage you to visit them and support a small business that promotes the Michigan wine industry. Click here for their location.
