Dane Slater to be the Next Mayor of Troy

Congratulations to Councilman Dane Slater who was selected by his colleagues on the Troy City Council to fill the Mayoral vacancy created by the Recall of Janice Daniels. Slater will need to resign his Council seat first in order for the process to be finalized.

The decision was arrived at after over an hour of discussion by the Councilmembers. Council will next need to determine a procedure for filling Slater's vacant Council position.

Tonight's lengthy stalemate may be a hint of what's in store when Council deliberates over filling Slater's Council seat.
