On a 4 to 3 vote, the Troy City Council abandoned the proposed transit facility project.

McGinnis
Slater
Campbell
Against the project:
Daniels
Fleming
Tietz
Henderson
I will take this opportunity to thank Councilman Fleming for trying to forge a compromise to keep the project moving forward. However, Fleming should have brought his proposed compromise up for consideration prior to tonight's meeting.To do so at the last minute made it nearly impossible for his colleagues and the City staff to carefully consider the pros and cons of his proposal.
I don't understand how a council can argue about how much of a Federal Grant they want to accept. The Fed will pay the whole thing. Maintenance cost will be the same no matter what.
