At last night's Troy City Council meeting, Mayor Daniels introduced a resolution to require the Troy Public Library to be open on Saturdays beginning on December 3rd. To allow City staff to research the proposal further, the City Council voted to postpone action on the Mayor's resolution until its November 28th meeting.
Library staff has posted a survey on the internet to get citizen feedback on which day the Library should close to accommodate re-opening it on Saturdays.

I don't understand why they're suggesting that the library should close on a different day in order to be open on Saturday. Dave Lambert and Janice Daniels clearly promised 7 day library operation prior to the election.
ReplyDeleteMatt: You probably meant to say Dave Henderson rather than yours truly. I guess we'll have to wait until the November 28th meeting to see what plans the City Council has for the Library’s operating hours.
