More from Francis J. Beckwith's "Politics for Christians." Found this quote by Beckwith on page 162...


"... It seems reasonable to believe that there exists a natural moral law, the foundation of just government, and that this natural moral law is best accounted for by the existence of God. Ironically, this seems a better bulwark against the threat of theocracy (which is feared by some unbelievers) than a government whose principles are unstable because they are based on nothing more than power, stipulation or popular sentiments..."
