At the July 12, 2010 Regular Meeting, the Troy City Council made changes to the membership of the City of Troy's Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA).
Congratulations to Kenneth Courtney who was reappointed. Also, congratulations to newly appointed members William Fisher and Allen Kneale. Fisher and Kneale will be replacing former members Edward Kempen and Matthew Kovacs.
Kovacs decided to step down from the BZA. We appreciate his service to the City!
Unfortunately, the Troy City Council decided not to reappoint Kempen to the BZA. While this was a "political" decision, the Troy City Council does have that right.
Thank you to Mr. Kempen for his service to the City. I found both him and Mr. Kovacs to be very conscientious in their decision-making.
Thanks for the mention Dave.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed serving the citizens of Troy as a member of the Board of Zoning Appeals, and will miss working with the other members and city staff. The improvements brought forward by staff in the last few months with the electronic packages should allow the new members to acquaint with the processes and be quick to understand.
As with any service, sacrifices take place when taking on additional responsibilities. My family and other involvement activities will be the beneficiaries of my retirement from the BZA.
