Goodbye Dad - I Love You

We laid my Dad to rest today at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Waterloo Township in Jackson County, MI. Because he was a veteran of World War II, he had a flag-draped coffin. The Washtenaw County Honor Guard gave him a rifle salute and played Taps. It was very moving and a great honor.

At Dad's funeral service on Saturday, I said these words as part of the Eulogy:

I look at my Dad’s body and yes I miss him and I weep at the losses he suffered during his life. But, I rejoice because I know that through Christ’s victory on the Cross, that Dad is at rest in the hands of our Lord.
