Troy Athens High School 2012 Holiday Concert

Last Thursday, we attended an excellent Holiday Concert at Troy Athens High School featuring the school's Concert Choir and Magic, and the Concert and Symphony Orchestra. Michele Marszalkowski is the Athens Choral Director and Geoffrey Benes is the Athens Orchestra Director. Our son Alex and our Goddaughter Lynn are both in Magic. We have two pictures of Lynn and Alex below. The one on the left was taken at last week's concert. The one on the right was taken approximately 9 years ago. Aren't they cute!



















All of the groups did a great job performing several Christmas and Holiday musical selections. I was most impressed with the combined Athens choirs and the Athens symphony orchestra for their performance of Antonio Vivaldi's Gloria in D. The Troy School District has not posted this year's concert on their website so I've posted a performance of Gloria in D that I found on YouTube below. It's timely that we can enjoy this Vivaldi music on the day before Christmas Eve. SDG!
