Pocket Neighborhoods to Strengthen Communities and Preserve Green Space

What is a Pocket Neighborhood? According to architect Ross Chapin, they are best defined as clusters of homes gathered around a landscaped common area.

I'm not sure if the City's zoning ordinance would permit this type of development. After reading the article 'Pocket Neighborhoods' For Sustainable Suburbs, I sent the link via email to Troy City Manager John Szerlag and Troy Director of Economic & Community Development Mark Miller. It sure looks like something to explore further.
